INIZIO POSITIVO PER IL TEAM RENZI CORSE

Completato il primo venerdì nel mondiale Supersport per Stefano Renzi e la sua squadra, che si stanno ambientando bene sul tracciato di Montmeló.

Nelle prove libere della mattina, Simone Corsi è sceso in pista ed ha effettuato ben 17 giri, per cercare di sfruttare al meglio l’unico turno di free practice e trovare il miglior setting per la sua Ducati V2 2024, che si son concluse in modo assolutamente positivo con un crono di 1’46”936.

Superpole un po’ più complicata a causa di una bandiera rossa che ha compromesso la sicurezza della pista.
Dopo l’interruzione la squadra romana ha dimostrato che le modifiche effettuate dopo le FP hanno migliorato il feeling di Simone sulla moto e finisce la superpole con un best lap di 1’46”290.

Il Team Renzi Corse sarà impegnato nella giornata di domani con il warm-up alle 09:50 ed alle 15:15 con Gara 1scattando dalla 24esima casella.

“Il livello è altissimo, ma siamo comunque contenti del lavoro che stiamo facendo. Stiamo cercando di crescere turno dopo turno, nonostante quest’anno ci sia solo una free practice. Dobbiamo migliorare naturalmente su qualche punto, ma siamo tranquilli. Nel warm-up di domani proveremo qualche modifica in modo da portare avanti il nostro sviluppo. Lavoreremo per migliorarci!”

“Prima qualifica dell’anno! Sarà sicuramente una gara in rimonta. L’obbiettivo è quello di entrare nella zona punti. Ho fatto un po’ di fatica a trovare il giusto feeling con la pista, soprattutto nella parte guidata. Lavoreremo sicuramente questa sera per migliorare già da domani!”

A POSITIVE START FOR TEAM RENZI CORSE

Stefano Renzi and his team have now kicked off their 2024 Supersport World Championship campaign, completing the first sessions of the Catalunya round, which is being staged at Spain’s Montmeló circuit.

During the morning, Simone Corsi made seventeen laps in all as he worked hard to exploit the one and only free practice and find the best possible setting for his 2024 Ducati V2 2024. The session came to a positive end, with the Italian rider recording a best of 1’46”936.

Superpole was complicated by a red flag, which brought the session to a temporary halt following an incident for another rider. After this interruption, the Italian team saw the benefit of the changes made after free practice, with Simone setting a best of 1’46”290 thanks to better feeling with his bike.

Team Renzi Corse will be back on track tomorrow for warm-up at 09:50 and for Race 1 at 15:15. Corsi will line up for the race in twenty-fourth position.

“The level is extremely high, but we’re pleased with the work we’re doing. We’re trying to grow session by session, despite the fact there’s only one free practice this year. We need to improve in some areas of course, but we’re feeling good. In tomorrow’s warm-up, we’ll make a few changes in order to continue with our development. We’ll keep at it!”

“Our first qualifying of the year! We’ll have to work our way up in the race, as the aim is to reach the points zone. I struggled a little to find the right feeling with the track, particularly through the turns. We’ll keep working this evening so that we can improve further tomorrow.”
